necessary ingredients
250 grams tenti
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 tablespoon red chili
2 teaspoon mustard
2 to 3 pinch/pinch asafoetida
1/2 cup mustard oil
1 teaspoon vinegar
salt as per taste
Method
First of all, break the stalks of the tenti and wash them with clean water.
Now soak the tent in water and keep it. Keep changing the water daily.
When the tent turns into yellow color.
– Now wash the tents thoroughly with clean water and keep them in the sun to dry for 2-3 hours.
When the water dries up completely, prepare the pickle.
First of all, put mustard oil in a pan on low flame and heat it well.
– When the oil becomes hot enough, then turn off the flame and keep the oil to cool down.
Now put turmeric powder and asafoetida in lightly heated oil. Also add tenti, salt and red chili and mix well.
– After this add vinegar and mix it.
Tanti pickle is ready.
Keep it in a glass or plastic container.
Note: Keep stirring the pickle with a spoon every 2-3 days. Pickle will turn sour and tasty in 8-10 days.
