Apple murabba recipe and benefits

The pomaceous fruit Apple is known as the king of fruits owing to the immense health benefits. Apple murabba, also called “Saib Ka Murabba”, prepared from the pulp of apple fruit has the tremendous potential of controlling diseases and supplying the body with essential nutrients, vitamins, protein and phytochemicals.

Recipe for apple murabba

Ingredients

  1. 1 Kg Apple
  2. Get Water as required (mix little salt)
  3. Sugar
  4. Lemon juice
  5. Cardamom powder
  6. Prepare water for boil the apple
  7. Yellow food color

Preprations

  1. Wash, peel and cut the apple in two pieces. Put apples pieces in water  and add 1 tsp salt for 10 minutes.
  2. Then take it out from salted water and put it in simple water. Prick the apple.
  3. Add water in pan and boil apple pieces on low medium heat.
  4. When apple pieces are slightly tender take it out of water.
  5. Add 1/2 litre water in another pan (same water which is used to boil apple)
  6. Add sugar in pan water and when sugar dissolves completely add cardamom powder.
  7. Add lemon juice and yellow food color into the pan water and then put the apple pieces in the syrup and let them simmer until the syrup gets quite thick in consistency.
  8. Stir at regular and check the consistency of syrup. To check the consistency  of syrup, take 2 drops of syrup in a bowl cool it then stick to your thumb and forefinger and stretch apart.
  9. If the stretched thread is long enough then syrup is ready to be used.
  10. Mix well leave the apple an the syrup for 2 days, Apple will absorb the syrup.
  11. Your apple murabba is ready to be eaten.

Tips: You can store at room temperature or refrigerate.
